2008 Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay

I am excited to announce that my first ever sparkling vintage, the 2008 Pinot Chardonnay Sparkling, is now bottled and ready for release. I am very pleased with how it has turned out. It is an exquisite and finely balanced wine. It has delicate and savoury berry nose and invites a soft perfectly-balanced palate. The mid-palate is generous with hints of citrus and a lasting, mellow, dry fruit finish. While still very young in the bottle, it shows excellent cellaring potential. It can be enjoyed now or –if you can resist its addictive allure– with another 2-5 yrs cellaring, it should develop considerable complexity and character. Personally, I am extremely pleased and proud with how it has turned out. It’s been the favourite holiday tipple in our house!
Unfortunately, being my first sparkling vintage, the production run was quite small, so stocks are limited. Place your orders early to avoid disappointment.
